Chicago born designer Colleen Allen established her New York City based menswear line in 2015 while she was studying at Parsons The New School for Design. In Spring 2015, the debut collection was driven by the ancient Japanese philosophy Wabi-Sabi. This soon transformed into intensive research of scientific fields and continues to be the driving force behind the mentality of the brand.
Taking elements from studies of science and nature, the collection provides a lifestyle which celebrates the individual spirit away from contemporary mass produced culture. Using unconventional shapes and materials, the brand offers a perspective of ambiguity and contradiction in gender. Allen’s muses are intellectuals, artists, and musicians immersed in their craft.
Branding and Public Relations are handled by Tate VanderPoel Smith.
